Basic Safety Orientation Class

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the central components of any OSHA mandated basic safety training course. Those who complete this course will be eligible to receive the ARSC reciprocal card, sometimes referred to as the OHSA card.

Participants in the Basic Safety Orientation Class will undergo generic-level training (content that is common to all employers) in the following areas:

  • Personal Protective Equipment
  • Hearing Conservation
  • Electrical Safety for Unqualified Workers
  • Hazard Communication
  • Elevated Work
  • Scaffold Safety
  • Ladder Safety
  • Process Safety Management (PSM)
  • Job Hazard Analysis
  • Occupational Heat Stress

Additional information will also be covered. However, in most cases it will be at only an orientation level. OHSA may require supplemental training to satisfy certification requirements for some of these topics. As always, individual employers remain responsible for any training in policies and protocols that are unique for your company or plant.

On-site Basic Safety Orientation Training can be delivered to your location, at a time that is convenient for you. Contact us for more information, including an hour-by-hour outline of the program material.
